Who are they?
Playing energetic, guitar-based indie rock, Sports Team are a band from North London whose tight sound is matched with witty lyrics. After earning a reputation for over-the-top live shows during their early days, Sports Team issued a handful of singles and EPs in 2018 and 2019 that captured their identity, and sense of fun. The band’s first full-length release, ‘Deep Down Happy,’ debuted at number two on the U.K. album chart in 2020. Their latest album, ‘Gulp!,’ was released at the end of last year, and now the six-piece band are hitting the road for their highly anticipated return to the stage in Toronto.
